The same Jesus who heard the cry for recognition from the disabled of Judea and Samaria 2,000 years ago calls us ... to embrace our responsibility to our own disabled brothers and sisters.

Pastoral Statement on Persons with Disabilities
SJC is honored to welcome and worship with persons of all abilities. We offer several accommodations and welcome suggestions to make our liturgies and parish life more comfortable and welcoming to all. We currently offer:
Accessibility to Church. The front (Providence Road) entrance to our church is fully wheelchair accessible, including electronic door operation. The front parking lot is designated for handicapped parking.
American Sign Language. ASL interpreters serve at 10 am on the first and third Sundays of each month and on Christmas, Palm Sunday and Easter.
Assistive Listening Technology for Mass & Confession. The church is equipped with a state-of-the-art assistive listening system from Williams Sound for inidivduals with hearing impairment, whether or not they use a hearing aid.
The church system is a lower-powered FM station that operates much like a car radio. The audio is installed in our sound system and broadcast wirelessly to a small receiver that you can clip on your belt, hold or wear in a pocket.
We offer portable FM receivers for all with headsets or earbuds that amplify all church microphones, as well as a Neckloop Telecoil Coupler for those who use a hearing aid. Please inquire in the sacristy for any of these devices before Mass.
In addition, one Confessional is equipped with an easy-to-use amplified telephone system for anyone who finds it difficult to hear, or be heard, in Confession.

Braille Worship Aids. Mass Propers in Braille, published by the Xavier Society for the Blind, are available in the Sacristy. Please inquire there or ask an usher before Mass.
Low-Gluten Hosts. Low-gluten Hosts are always available. Please inquire in the Sacristy before Mass.
Mass of Welcoming & Inclusion
Celebrated at 10 am on the first Sunday of each month, this Mass is designed to be a little shorter, with softer lighting, than a regular Mass. ASL interpretation is provided.
